THE ORIGIN OF EASTER
First off, Happy Easter guys, hope you enjoy the chocolates and especially the long holiday.
I was asked how rabbits associated with Easter and also eggs, well I question myself that as well. What a Christian person I am eh! I looked it up on the net and I found the answer. It links to the Pagon celebration of the goddess Eostre where the hare is associated with this celebration. Eostre is also associated with fertility, that's where eggs comes in. The hare is a symbol of moon, where the sight first full moon after the first Sunday.
Rabbits appear as an animal that produces bright coloured eggs as a gift to children. Well it is a tradition in Germany, so no wonder our easter eggs are always so colourfully wrap!! LOL...
